I love the little kids.
Ewan ko, sobrang laki lang talaga ng puso ko sa kanila. And its not the ordinary ‘nacu-cute-an’ ako sa kanila. but seriously, I love them
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matthew 18:1-5)
1 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.
I think the very essence of being a follower of Jesus relates to these kids. When I decided to follow Jesus, I have this vision for nation. That I will be a part of preserving the next generation. Its just that I can’t imagine a future where kids have to embrace norms which are non biblical. I don’t want them to be birthed at a society where evil concepts and ideas are rampant. If we can take a look of what society is now, we could see that it really is changing. With violence, immorality, etc, we cannot deny that the future I’m talking about is not much of an impossibility. I mean, being free and able to see, I don’t want kids to experience those things. I can’t afford to see these precious children become slave of pornography, illegal drugs and etc.
These kids are the future. The generations to come depend on them. We should teach them Christian values and principles while they are still kids, so when they grow up, they don’t depart from them. These kids deserves to be loved by a family, and unfortunately, some of them don’t have one. These kids deserves to be nourished, valued and trained so that they could be ready of what the future brings. They should be taught how to dream and hope. They should be preserved.
Anuman ang hitsura, ugali or pinanggalingan ng bata, deserve pa din nila ang mahalin sila. Maldita man yan or mahiyain. Cute man or medyo lang. Street children man or rich kids. Dapat minamahal pa din. Whenever I look back at the time before I encountered the Lord, I can see myself as that hopeless kid, didn’t know what to do with his life, confused, scared. But the love of God changed me; and I am who I am now.
